Thank you both very much indeed for having us to stay at Villa Rosa last weekend. We very much enjoyed your hospitality and the lovely old house which has a very solid, warm, welcoming feeling to it. The work you have done has really paid off – we are looking forward to seeing the rest unfold!
We also enjoyed the excellent cuisine, the beef slow-cooked in wine, fish and pasta, delicious chocolate and ice cream – not forgetting the fresh eggs laid by the ‘girls’ for breakfast.
In retrospect the whole visit feels quite dramatic, what with hurling "durch Nacht und Wind", seeing signs for Firenze and Lago Trasimeno and knowing they were out there but not being able to make anything out in the darkness! Then the fun of exploring over the wooded hills into Orvieto and visiting our summer holiday villa, then on to Todi, so dramatic and worthy of much more time to explore. Perugia, too, clearly a very stylish town with another fabulous panorama from the cliff tops and so much more to see, so little time!
Thank you very much again for being so welcoming and for giving so much time taking us round and the properties. We absolutely could not do this without you and are extremely grateful for the assistance you have given, and the future help available."
